Vol. S2 No. 3

TENANT FARMERS' INTERESTS.

SEAN O CRUADHLAOICH

asked the Minister of Agriculture to whom must a member of this House apply for information respecting the interests of tenant farmers of his constituency in view of the fact that when the Minister is so applied to he, the Minister, requests the member who approaches him to have the honesty to admit that it is a farce for him to apply to the Minister of Agriculture as Minister of Dáil Éireann for such information.

Without admitting the implications in that statement I make the following answer: if any member of the Dáil wishes to apply for information respecting the interests of tenant farmers in his constituency he should apply to the Minister of Agriculture who will give him that information. If any member of the House wishes to find out about what is to be done with the Congested Districts Board, which was a question asked me outside in the Hall by the Deputy who has put down this question, he should also apply to the Minister of Agriculture who is now, for the first time, in effective control of the Congested Districts Board.
