DEBATES ON ADJOURNMENT. - ARTICLE 39.

Mr. O'HIGGINS:

I move Article 39:—"A Bill passed by either House and accepted by the other House shall be deemed to be passed by both Houses." That follows from Article 38. If the Seanad initiates legislation it comes down to the Dáil, and if the Dáil accepts it, it would be absurd to send it back to the Seanad again.

Motion made and question put: "That Article 39 stand part of the Bill."
