Vol. 2 No. 14

- DISTRICT COURTS IN SLIGO.

To ask the Minister for Home Affairs if it is true that certain persons arrested on suspicion of having committed crime have been liberated recently from Sligo Jail because there is no court before which they could be charged; and if he would say when it is intended that District Justices shall hold sittings there?

No prisoners have been liberated recently from Sligo Prison for the reason stated by the Deputy. A District Justice has been allocated to the Sligo area, and it is expected that he will be in a position to hold sittings there in the immediate future.
