To ask the Minister for Agriculture whether a large tract of land near Creggs, Co. Galway, was seized about two years ago by a body of men calling themselves the Creggs Land Committee, ostensibly for landless men; whether the dispossessed owners brought the matter into the Land Settlement Commission Court set up by the second Dáil; whether a Receiver was put into possession by the Court; whether any final judgment was ever delivered in this case; whether some of the lands are not still in the possession of the Receiver or parties holding under lettings made by him, and what are the intentions of the Ministry with regard to pending cases before the Land Settlement Commission.
