To ask the Minister for Defence whether an armed party of troops from the local barracks attended, without invitation, a birthday party held in a labourer's cottage in Creeslough, Tirchonaill on January 14th; whether the man in charge of this party intervened, and prevented one of the guests from singing a song entitled "Labour's Call," written by Peadar O Cearnaigh, author of "A Soldier's Song"; whether, when the party was breaking up this guest was arrested; and what action the Minister proposes to take in the matter?
CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - BIRTHDAY PARTY.
Troops from Creeslough Barracks were invited to the party, and attended. They arrested Alex. Brown, a much-wanted Irregular, who at the time was singing "The Red Flag."
Is the Minister for Defence quite sure it was "The Red Flag" he was singing?
That is my information.
