Vol. 2 No. 31

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - MEAT CONTRACTOR'S ACCOUNT.

To ask the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that a sum of £32 4s. 11d. is due to Mr. James Harte, Flesher, Lifford, Co. Donegal, for meat supplied to the National Army in the months of February, May, and June, 1922; also, whether he is aware that repeated applications have been unsuccessfully made for same, although the account has been certified as correct by the District Quartermaster at Buncrana, and if he will give instructions to have the amount paid at once?

The only account that has been received at G.H.Q., which was for meat supplied to troops during the months of March, April and May, 1922, has been paid. Local enquiries are, however, being made in the matter.

Does the Minister know when it was paid?

No; but I will have the information sent to the Deputy.
