CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - DONEGAL SCHOOL TEACHER'S ARREST.

To ask the Minister for Defence if he is aware that Mr. William Coyle, National Teacher, Lunniagh National School, Derrybeg, Co. Donegal, was arrested at his school on the 19th December, and taken to Ballyconnell House, Falcarragh, where he is still detained; if he can state what charges are preferred against this teacher; whether it is proposed to bring him to trial at an early date; and if, pending such trial, he will be released on condition that he undertakes to come up for trial if called upon to do so.

Mr. Coyle was arrested on suspicion in connection with the burning of the Civic Guard Barracks, Middletown, Derrybeg. He is now detained at Droichead Nua. The question of his release is receiving urgent attention.
