asked the Postmaster-General whether, in pursuance of the undertaking given by the President in the last Dáil, that no broadcasting licences or monopolies would be granted in or by the Free State until this Dáil had first been consulted, he will now lay his proposals in these matters before the Dáil for discussion and sanction.

The negotiations in connection with the proposed establishment of a Wireless Broadcasting Station in the Free State are still in progress, and I am not yet in a position to lay the proposals in the matter before the Dáil. It is the intention to seek the sanction of the Dáil for any scheme which may be agreed upon.
