In compliance with Standing Order No. 120 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Eireann, I have to report that on the 11th October, on the direction of the Ceann Comhairle and pursuant to the relative provisions of the Electoral Act, 1923, I issued to Mr. Patrick J. Merriman, Returning Officer, my writ for the election of a member to fill the existing vacancy in the representation in the Dáil of the Constituency of National University of Ireland.
