I beg to move that leave be given to introduce a measure to authorise the continuance of extra charges in connection with the sale of electricity. The Bill under which the increased charge was placed on the price of electricity has now lapsed, and this Bill will be retrospective, but retrospective with the reservation that an examination may be made as to the reasons for the increased charge by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and it will continue until the 31st December, 1924, the seven orders made by the Act which regulated the increase in price under statutory authority. I accordingly move for permission to bring in this Bill.
