Vol. 6 No. 22

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT CLAIM (RAHEEN, CO. CLARE.)

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state why a claim for Unemployment Insurance Benefit in respect of Wm. Farrell, Raheen, Tomgraney, Co. Clare, is withheld, and if he is aware that the applicant first signed on December 5th, 1923, and since that date no payment has been made.

William Farrell claimed Unemployment Benefit at Ennis on the 5th December last. Before payment could be made on it, information reached the Offices of the Department which rendered necessary the investigation of a claim which he had previously made. Pending the investigation of that claim, which will be completed as early as possible, benefit cannot be paid on the claim of the 5th December.
