Vol. 6 No. 38

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - OCCUPATION OF GLENGARRIFFE HOUSE.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that a claim for £510 was lodged by Mr. William O'Sullivan, of Glengarriffe, Co. Cork, in respect of the occupation of his house by the National Army; whether he will state what award has been made, and when a final settlement of the claim may be expected.

I understand that a claim for a substantial amount has been received by the Ministry of Defence by which preliminary inquiries are now being carried out.

When the Commissioners of Public Works receive a report from the Ministry of Defence they will arrange to have the claim dealt with as soon as possible.

£100 has been paid on account.
