Vol. 6 No. 38

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ENNISCORTHY AMBUSH—COMPENSATION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance whether a claim for compensation has been received from the relatives of Thomas Doyle, who was employed as a civilian clerk under the Ministry of Defence, and was shot dead in an ambush near Enniscorthy on December 1st, 1922; whether the claim has yet been heard, and if he can state the result of the hearing.

The claim referred to by the Deputy has been received and considered by the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee. The Committee will, I understand, shortly make a recommendation to me in the matter.
