Vol. 7 No. 15

DUBLIN POLICE BILL, 1924—FIRST STAGE.

I ask for leave to have printed and circulated a Bill which makes certain administrative changes in connection with the Dublin Metropolitan Police. These changes, while important, and necessary administratively, will not, I think, be considered as calling for very much discussion or raising any controversial points, but it is necessary for the proper regulation of the force that we should have legislative sanction for certain proposals which we will put before the Dáil. I move, therefore, for leave to introduce this Bill.

Leave granted; Bill read a First Time and ordered for Second Reading Wednesday next, June 4th.
