Vol. 7 No. 21

QUESTION OF PROCEDURE.

I forgot to ask that we should take the whole of the time to-day for Government business. Deputy Wilson has a motion down. I do not know whether he anticipates that he will require a good deal of time for the motion. If half an hour would do he might meet me on that point, and we might take up this business at 3,30. There is a large agenda.

Will the President agree to sit till 4.30?

I have no objection.

I do not anticipate that I will take a long time, but it will take some time to get Deputies to agree with my view.

Is it the intention to endeavour to finish the Railways Bill?

If there was a reasonable chance of finishing the Railways Bill by 4.30 would it not be better to do so rather than to have both the Railways Bill and Deputy Wilson's Motion unfinished to-day? We could give Deputy Wilson time on Wednesday. Deputy Wilson would then get more time than he would to-day, and we would get something finished.

I agree to that.

Ordered that Deputy Wilson's Motion be postponed until Wednesday.
