Vol. 7 No. 26

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - PAYMENT OF CROSSMOLINA CLAIMS.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that decrees for £150 and £160 were given by County Court Judge Doyle, K.C., at the Quarter Sessions held in Ballina in the month of December, 1923, to Mr. Francis O'Boyle, of Crossmolina, Ballina, Co. Mayo, in connection with the seizure of two motor cars by Irregular forces; whether, at the same Sessions, the Judge reported for sums of £45, and £7, and £4 expenses (1) for damage to a motor car, (2) for meat seized by Irregular forces at Crossmolina; whether any action has been taken in regard to expediting the payment of those claims, and, if so, if he will state why they have not been paid.

I am informed that Mr. O'Boyle's applications for compensation have been heard by the County Court Judge, but the judge's decrees or reports have not yet been received in my Department.
