Vol. 7 No. 27

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - BANTRY ARMY ACCOUNT.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that an army billeting account, amounting to over £200, and due to Mrs. Michael Sullivan, Marino Street, Bantry, Co. Cork, has been under investigation for a considerable time, and whether he will arrange for an immediate settlement of the claim.

The delay in investigating Mrs. O'Sullivan's account is mainly due to her failure to furnish certain requisite information to the Claims Officer, Micheál Barracks, Cork. Enquiries are, however, being made in other directions for the purpose of checking the particulars of what is prima facie an excessive account. The matter will be brought to a conclusion as quickly as possible.
