asked the Minister for Defence whether payment of an Army Account, amounting to over £130, will now be made to Mr. William Hawkes, 85 South Main Street, Bandon.
CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - BANDON ACCOUNT.
Mr. Hawkes' account for billeting is now under investigation. It is expected that the necessary enquiry will be completed and that settlement of the account will be effected very shortly. I should say that somewhere in March we had about 18,000 of these accounts and they were cleared off in the time promised by General Mulcahy, but claims are now coming in on an average of seventy a day.
