Vol. 7 No. 28

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - OCCUPATION OF PETTIGO HOUSE BY NATIONAL TROOPS.

asked the Minister for Defence whether National Troops are still in occupation of the private house of Sir John Leslie at Pettigo; whether Sir John Leslie has offered alternative accommodation, which has not been availed of, and if he will state when he may expect to regain possession of this house, which has been occupied by three different armies during the past three years.

Troops still occupy Sir John Leslie's house. I am not aware that he has offered to provide alternative accommodation for them, but I am having the matter investigated and will communicate the result to the Deputy as soon as possible.
