Vol. 7 No. 28

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - LIFFORD ARMY ACCOUNT.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received an account for the sum of £16 12s., due to Mrs. Argue, of Lifford, and if he will state when payment may be expected.

Accounts amounting to £11 12s. and £5 have been received from Mrs. Argue, the former in respect of billeting an officer subsequent to 31st December last, and the latter for cartage of rubbish during period August to December, 1923.

In the former case, enquiries are being made with a view to establishing the identity of the officer concerned and the necessity for billeting him. In the latter case the account is under local investigation. The necessary enquiries in both cases will be completed as quickly as possible.
