Vol. 7 No. 28

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - THE RETURN OF SURRENDERED GUN TO KINNEGAD MAN.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that Mr. C. Glennon, of Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath, has been notified from Beresford Barracks, the Curragh, that he will require to call personally for the return of his gun to the above barracks, and whether, as this course would entail considerable trouble and expense, he will arrange that in this case, and in similar cases, the guns will be sent to the nearest Gárda Síochána or Military Barracks in the district where the owners reside.

It is the practice when arranging for the return of surrendered arms to send them to the military post nearest to the owner's address.

Mr. Glennon's gun is being sent to the Mullingar Military Barracks and may be obtained there on application by the owner.
