WRITTEN ANSWERS. - EDGEWORTHSTOWN DEPENDENT'S ALLOWANCE.

asked the Minister for Defence if he can state why dependent's allowance has not been paid to Mrs. Hogan, Clonwheelan, Edgeworthstown, in respect of her son, Bernard, No. 22759, who attested on the 4th March, 1922, and was discharged on the 24th February, 1924; whether, as he was her chief support, he will have this case reinvestigated, with a view to having the allowance granted.

Dependent's allowance was paid to the soldier in respect of Mrs. Mary Anne Hogan. of Clonwheelan, Edgeworthstown, from the 4th March, 1922, up to the 29th July, 1922, and subsequently direct to Mrs. Hogan. The rate was 28/- per week up to the 22nd January last and 14/- per week afterwards.
