Vol. 8 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DISPOSAL OF SCRAP.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that there is a large quantity of cast off material, consisting of wagons, galvanised huts, wire, etc., at present stored and exposed to the weather at Island Bridge Barracks and other military stations, and if it is intended to have such old material disposed of by auction or otherwise.

Most of the material referred to at Island Bridge Barracks has been sold and has been removed or is awaiting removal by the purchasers. Sales by competitive order of the remainder and of similar material at other barracks are proceeding. It is expected that in this way articles discarded by the Army will be disposed of in a few weeks.
