Vol. 8 No. 17

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - CASTLEBLAYNEY MERCHANT'S ACCOUNT.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that Messrs. P. McGahan and Co., general outfitters, Castleblayney, have repeatedly furnished details of account due them by the Military Authorities and so far have not received payment; whether he will now issue instructions that the account be paid without delay.

Messrs. McGahan and Co. are claiming £18 10s. 0d., the balance of an account amounting to £27 10s. 0d. in respect of six trench coats. Payment of the £9 already received by the firm does not appear to have been made from public funds, and the account does not appear to be a charge against such funds. However, I am communicating with Messrs. McGahan for further particulars with a view to settling the matter definitely.
