CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DEPENDENT'S ALLOWANCE.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state why dependents' allowance was not paid to Mrs. Casey, of Knockainey, Bruff, Co. Limerick, in respect of her son, John Casey, who attested on March 21st, 1922, and who was demobilised on November 20th, 1923; whether he is aware that this man was the sole support of a widowed mother, and whether payment of allowance will be made forthwith.

Dependents' allowance was paid to Mrs. Casey at the rate of 28s. per week from the date of her son's attestation up to the date of his discharge from the Army.
