Vol. 9 No. 21

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - SOLDIER'S DEPENDENT'S ALLOWANCE.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the reason for the delay in awarding a pension to Mrs. Brigid Cribbon, Newtown, Rathangan, Co. Kildare, in respect of the death of her son, Corporal John Cribbon, Army No. 3144, and whether he will expedite payment.

The delay in dealing with Mrs. Cribbon's claim under the Army Pensions Act, 1923, is due to the fact that a claim has also been received from her husband, who, it is understood, is living apart from her. Satisfactory details as to the dependency of either on the deceased have not yet been received. Enquiries are being pursued, and the matter will be expedited.
