Vol. 9 No. 21

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - ARMY SERVICE PAY.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state why Edward Mooney, Carbury, Edenderry, has not been paid back pay for time served when called up for Army Service on the 31st June, 1922; whether he is aware that all the men called up at the time have been paid, and whether he will have further inquiries made with a view to payment in this case.

A cheque in payment of the arrears due which was sent to Mr. Mooney, Edenderry, on the 28th August last was returned by the Postal authorities with an intimation that the addressee was unknown. A further cheque has now been sent to Mr. Mooney, at Carbury, Edenderry, the address quoted by the Deputy.
