Vol. 9 No. 24

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - KILTIMAGH ACCOUNT AGAINST ARMY.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that an account amounting to £24 1s. 0d. is due to Mrs. Roughneen, Railway Hotel, Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo, for rooms, meals, and incidentals supplied to Officers of the National Army; and that the account was passed for payment over a year ago and is still unpaid, and whether he will order the discharge of this bill forthwith.

The only account presented by Mrs. Roughneen that can be traced in the Department of Defence is one amounting to £18 2s. 0d. in respect of the billeting of troops in October and November, 1922. It was assessed at £11 1s. 0d. on the authorised rates, and the payment of this sum was made on the 21st July, 1923. Mrs. Roughneen has, therefore, been asked to furnished particulars of the account mentioned by the Deputy.
