Vol. 10 No. 17

DAIL IN COMMITTEE. - POLICE FORCES AMALGAMATION BILL—FROM THE SEANAD.

The Police Forces Amalgamation Bill, 1924, was passed by the Seanad to-day, with one amendment—the matter of the date in the Title, changing 1924 to 1925. I would ask the Dáil to agree to the suspension of the Standing Orders, in order to dispose of it now.

This is the Message received from the Seanad to-day:—"The Seanad on this date passed the Police Forces Amalgamation Bill, 1924, in which it has inserted the following amendment, to which the agreement of the Dáil is desired:—

"In Section 1, line 15, to have the figures 1924 deleted and the figures 1925 substituted therefor."

What the Minister desires is that the Message should be considered now. Is that agreed?

Agreed?

I move:—"That the Dáil agree with the Seanad in this amendment."

Question put and agreed to.
