Vol. 13 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS—COST OF UPKEEP.

asked the Minister for Defence if he can furnish a statement giving the pay, ration allowance, actual or estimated cost per head for clothing, fuel, light, lodging and dependents' allowance (for married men) in the case of married and single volunteers who have had continuous service (since formation) and who are now serving in the Army Corps of Engineers.

As the desired statement contains many figures, I propose with the Deputy's permission, to circulate it in the Official Report of this House.

I would prefer that the question be repeated on the day that the Minister can give the information.

I can give the figures now.

Deputy Davin has eighteen questions on the paper to-day. On every one of them he has asked more than one supplementary question. The Deputy now wants the Minister to read out an elaborate return of figures. It is just as satisfactory to get it in the Official Report.

All right.
