Vol. 13 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ALLOCATION OF BALLYMORE-EUSTACE LANDS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he is aware that when an inspector of the Land Commission visited the Ballymore-Eustace district on the 11th November, 1925, to hear applications for parcels of land on the estate of Reps. of J. R. Lynch, Record No. S. 2394, Co. Kildare, recently acquired by the Land Commission, he received applications from a number of individuals already holding large farms; whether it is the intention in the allocation of those lands to give precedence to the claims of local congests and landless men.

Mr. HOGAN

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the estate of the Representatives of J. R. Lynch, County Kildare, under the provisions of the 1923 Land Act and in the allotment of these lands, when acquired, the application of small holders and other persons mentioned in Section 31 of the Act will receive full consideration.
