Vol. 13 No. 11

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BALLYHAUNIS CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the Indemnity Claims Committee had yet dealt with the claim of Mr. M.F. O'Reilly, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis, for £60 11s. 0d. for motor car hirage incurred by members of the National Army; if so, when payment will be made; if not, whether he will take steps to have the hearing of the claim by the Committee expedited.

The claim referred to by the Deputy has been dealt with and will be paid at a very early date.

Can the Minister give me any indication as to how soon the claim will be paid? Several communications have been addressed in connection with this claim to the Indemnity Claims Committee, and I might say that some of them were unanswered.

This claim will probably be paid within a week.
