asked the Minister for Finance if he has received an application from Mrs. Jane Salmon, Ballydavis, Portlaoighise, Leix, for compensation for damage to her property by British forces in pre-Truce period; whether the claim has been investigated and reported upon, and if he can now state what compensation he is prepared to authorise in this case.

The application referred to by the Deputy was presumably submitted to the Compensation (Ireland) Commission, whose award has not yet been received in my Department. Until such an award is received the question of payment will not arise.
