Vol. 14 No. 16

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - BOBBET (CO. MEATH) ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he can state when the Bobbet Estate, Fryanstown, Kells, Co. Meath, will be allotted, and whether he is aware that Mr. Bobbet is about to evict the herd, Mr. James Crosby, who has sixteen years' service on the estate, and if it is the intention of the Land Commission to put Mr. Crosby in possession of an economic holding on the estate as compensation for the loss of his employment.

Mr. HOGAN

The holding of trustees of Wm. J.D. Bobbet, lands of Fyanstown was "retained" by the Land Commission under Section 28, sub-section 6 of the Land Act, 1923, on the 1st January, 1926, being the Appointed Day. Application has been made by the Land Commission to the Judicial Commissioner for the resumption of the holding pursuant to Section 29, subsection 3 of the Land Act, 1923. The Land Commission are not yet in a position to state when the lands will be allotted. The question of the provision of a holding for James Crosby, herd on the estate, will be duly considered on the division of these lands.
