MONEY RESOLUTION—CIVIC GUARD (ACQUISITION OF PREMISES) ACT, 1923.

The Dáil went into Committee on Finance.

I move:—

Chun críche aon Achta a rithfar sa tSiosón so chun tuille síne do dhéanamh ar an aimsir ina bhféadfar comhachta áirithe d'fheidhmiú a bronnadh ar Choimisinéirí na nOibreacha Puiblí in Eirinn leis an Acht Ghárda Síochána (Aitribh do Sholáthar), 1923, go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú go n-iocfí amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas—

(a) cíos na n-áitreabh san;

(b) cúiteamh do shealbhóir na n-áitreabh san mar gheall ar chur isteach air; agus

(c) i geásanna in ar dhin Coimisinéirí na nOibreacha Puiblí atharuithe déanmhachta no atharuithe eile, na costaisí a bhain leis na háitribh sin do chur tharnais ina seanariocht ar chríochnú na tionóntachta; no, in ionad iad do chur tharnais ina seana-riocht, cúiteamh i laigheadú a tháinig ar luach na n-áitreabh de dheascaibh na n-atharuithe sin.

That, for the purpose of any Act of the present Session to extend further the time during which certain powers conferred on the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland by the Civic Guard (Acquisition of Premises) Act, 1923, may be exercised, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas of—

(a) the rent for such premises;

(b) compensation to the occupier of such premises for disturbance; and

(c) where the Commissioners of Public Works have carried out structural or other alterations, the expenses of the restoration of such premises on the termination of the tenancy to their original condition; or, in lieu of such restoration, compensation for the reduction in the value of the premises consequent upon such alterations.
