Vol. 16 No. 2

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - UNVESTED HOLDINGS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he is aware that Michael Costello, Patrick Rush, Patrick Butler, all of Carolena, Ballindine, Co. Mayo; also Thomas Wallace, of Pullinasillagh, Ballindine, Co. Mayo, and Edward Conry, James Fallon, Patrick Aughuane, William Gallagher, Thomas Kinane, Michael Daly, all residing at Skevard, Ballindine, Co. Mayo, purchased their holdings on the Oranmore and Browne Estate through the Congested Districts Board in 1913; that the holdings are not yet vested. and if he will state what steps, if any, are being taken by the Land Commission to have those lands vested.

Mr. HOGAN

The agreements signed by the nine tenants referred to for the purchase of their holdings were lodged in the Land Commission as follows:— Three in the year 1919, five in 1920, and two in 1924. Owing to the number of cases in which the purchase agreements were lodged at an earlier date, and which were in priority to these, it has not been possible to deal with them up to the present. They have now been reached to be dealt with and will be disposed of as rapidly as practicable.
