CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - KILKELLY ESTATE, LEIX.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he can state the present position regarding the proposed acquisition of the Kilkelly estate, Ballickmoyler, Leix, and if it is the intention of the Land Commission to have these lands divided during the present year.

Mr. HOGAN

The Land Commission have included untenanted lands in the townland of Ballickmoyler, comprising 45a. 3r. 3p., and Rathtillig, comprising 291a. 1r. 24p., in a Provisional List of lands published in Iris Oifigiúil as lands which, if not excluded in consequence of a valid objection, will vest in them on the appointed day. An offer for the purchase of the lands has recently been communicated to the owner, which he has not accepted. The lands are gazetted and the price will be fixed by the Judicial Commissioners.
