CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - HOME ASSISTANCE IN CO. CLARE.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he can state how much money was paid in home assistance in County Clare during the months of September, October and November of this year; the number of people relieved during these three months by this home assistance and the classification of persons relieved under the headings of adults, children, etc.

The Board of Health inform me that the amounts expended on home assistance in the months mentioned were respectively £1,230, £1,498 and £1,280 to 27th November. As regards the number relieved, the total figures for October and November are given as 2,650. They arc classified as follows:—Adult males, 466; adult females, 762, and 1,003 children.
