The sub-postmistress of the Botanic Road sub-post office gave notice recently of her intention to resign, and though the vacancy was extensively advertised a suitable candidate has not been forthcoming. The office, therefore, must be closed temporarily on the 28th instant, when the notice of resignation expires. If a suitable candidate becomes available subsequently the office will be reopened.
