asked the Minister for Justice whether he will give the House information as to the date of appointment, constitution and terms of reference of the inter-Departmental Committee which he stated, in the course of the debate on the Intoxicating Liquor Bill, 1927, on the 23rd March, 1927, was about to deal with the question of traffic, and if he will further state from what sources evidence has been or will be taken by the Committee, and by what date a report from the Committee is expected.

The arrangements for setting up the Inter-Departmental Committee of Inquiry into the traffic problem have not yet been completed. As soon as these arrangements are made I shall give full information on the matters mentioned by the Deputy.
