Vol. 19 No. 10

CEIST—QUESTION. ORAL ANSWER. - LEWIS ESTATE (CO. GALWAY).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state why the Irish Land Commission have not replied to a registered letter, dated 12th February, 1927, from the tenants on the John A. Lewis estate, Woodford, County Galway (Folio No. S. 1990), requesting the Irish Land Commission to carry out the agreement arrived at on the 21st day of June, 1926, between their Inspector and the Chairman of the Tenants' Association regarding the final settlement of this estate.

I regret that the information necessary to enable me to answer this question has not yet been obtained. I would be glad if the Deputy would repeal it. The inspector in question has been in Donegal for some time.

Can the Minister state what time he expects to be in a position to give the required information?

Mr. HOGAN

Possibly at the end of the week.
