Vol. 19 No. 16

TREATMENT OF DISEASED EX-NATIONAL ARMY MEN.

Will the President allow an hour for a discussion on the question of the treatment of men who contracted disease while serving in the Army? That is to say, if the Government business is finished at 10 o'clock, will the President allow an hour for the consideration of the matter?

I do not propose to agree to that. The Deputy got two distinct answers from the Minister in question, telling him plainly what was the solution of his problem. The Deputy knows it cannot be solved until the Bill is passed into law.

Surely at the eleventh hour you must repent that you have not done justice to men who contracted disease while serving.

The Deputy can raise that matter later on; he cannot raise it now.

I am asking for an hour in which to discuss this matter.

The Deputy has had an answer to that question.
