asked the Minister for Finance what is the estimated cost of advertising for applications from tailors for the post of warehouseman in the Stores Branch of the Department of Posts and Telegraphs, at the remuneration of 36s. per week plus cost-of-living bonus; how many persons are to be appointed to the position, and whether any fee is charged to persons making application.

The estimated cost of advertising the vacancy for a warehouseman in the Department of Posts and Telegraphs is £10 10s. Only one appointment is to be made. The fee to be paid by persons making application for the vacant position is 7s. 6d.

Can the Minister say in how many newspapers this advertisement appeared?

It appeared once in each of five newspapers: two in Dublin, one in Cork, one in Galway, and one in Londonderry.
