MONEY RESOLUTION—MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS BILL, 1927.

The Dáil went into Committee on Finance.

I move:—

Go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú go n-íocfar amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas aon chostaisí fé n-a raghfar ag cur aon Achta in éifeacht a rithfar sa tSiosón so chun socrú do dhéanamh chun daoine chleachtann leigheas agus máinliaghacht do chlárú agus do rialú agus chun crícheanna eile bhaineas le cleachta leighis agus máinliaghachta agus leis na daoine atá ag gabháil don chleachta san.

That it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas of any expenses incurred in carrying into effect any act of the present session to make provision for the registration and control of persons practising medicine and surgery and for other purposes relating to the practice of medicine and surgery and the persons engaged in such practice.

The expenses will be incurred in connection with the preparation of the first register. It is difficult to give an estimate of the expenditure which will fall upon the Exchequer, but I do not think it will exceed £2,500.
