ORDUITHE AN LAE—ORDERS OF THE DAY. IN COMMITTEE ON FINANCE. SUPPLEMENTARY AND ADDITIONAL ESTIMATES. - COURTS OF JUSTICE BILL, 1927—MONEY RESOLUTION.

The Dáil went into Committee on Finance.

I move:—

Go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú go n-íocfar, amach as airegead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas, aon chostaisí fé n-a raghfar fé aon Acht a rithfar sa tSiosón so chun naoi mí do chur leis an aimsir a ceaptar le hAlt 46 den Acht Cúirteanna Breithiúnais, 1924, chun Breithimh Chuarda Chonganta shealadacha do cheapa.

That it is expedient to authorise the payment, out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas, of any expenses incurred under any Act of the present Session to extend by nine months the time limited by Section 46 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1924, for the appointment of temporary Assistant Circuit Judges.

It is estimated that two assistant judges will be required to deal with the business of the Circuit Courts for the next nine months. The cost will be about £2,550 for the judges, £800 for stenographers and £250 for criers. As a matter of fact, provision has been made in this year's Estimates in anticipation of this.

Resolution agreed to and ordered to be reported.
