The Land Commission issued a proposal to purchase the lands of Silloge containing 615a. 3r. 14p. on the estate of Henry T.S.J. Gerrard under the provisions of Section 36 of the Land Act, 1923, but this proposal was not accepted by the owner.
The question of instituting proceedings for the compulsory acquisition of these lands under the provisions of Section 24 of the Land Act, 1923, is being considered by the Commissioners. The Land Commission have had no communication with a bank in this case.
