asked the Minister for Education to state the number of teachers for the three years ended 31st March, 1927 (a) who were awarded disablement pensions under Rule 10 (b) of the Teachers' Pension Fund Rules; (b) who died in the service; and (c) who, having less than 10 years' service, retired owing to ill-health.

With reference to the first portion of the Deputy's question, I desire to say that the number of teachers who were awarded disablement pensions under Rule 10 (b) during the three years referred to was 49. The numbers of teachers who died in the service during the same period was 184.
The Department has not the requisite information to supply the answer to section (c) of the question.
