Vol. 21 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - A DANGEROUS KERRY ROAD.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that the work of building a new road, leading from Glenbeigh to Glencar, County Kerry, had been suspended about two years ago by reason of lack of funds; and if he is aware of the fact that this road is extremely dangerous both to pedestrians and to vehicles by reason of the absence of a protecting wall in certain parts of the road; and if so, and in order to relieve unemployment in this congested area, and to make the road safe for traffic, the Minister will give the grant necessary to complete the work.

I will have this matter looked into again in connection with any proposals which may be made concerning unemployment.
