Vol. 21 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLAIM FOR ALLOTMENT OF LAND.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether an application for an allotment of land on the Lettybrook Estate, situate in the townland of Lettybrook, Kinnitty, Offaly, has been received from William Heaney, an employee on the estate for fourteen years, and on what grounds such application was refused, and if it is possible for him to reconsider the claim of this employee.

The untenanted land acquired on the Drought estate, Lettybrook, County Offaly was divided by the Land Commission in the exercise of their discretion to the best advantage. The Commissioners could not see their way to make Mr. Heany an allotment.
