Vol. 22 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - FISHING SLIP (TRAVARRA, COUNTY CORK).

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he will have an inquiry made into the need for a small slip at Travarra Strand, Barryroe, County Cork, close to the scene of the wreck of the "Cardiff Hall," about two years ago, and whether, in view of the fact that thirteen fishing boats are using this strand, which is exceedingly dangerous at the moment, sympathetic consideration would be given to the project of constructing a small slip there.

I am calling for a report on the landing facilities and extent of fishing done at Travarra Strand, Barryroe, and will give the matter careful consideration when I have this report before me.
